All people fleeing from Ukraine before an armed conflict do not have to register at reception points or worry about formalities. All people fleeing from Ukraine, seeking refuge in Poland, do not have to worry about the legality of their stay. In the coming days, it is also not necessary to submit any applications to the Office for Foreigners, voivodeship offices or Border Guard posts. The same applies to Ukrainian citizens who are in Poland and their residence permits have expired.

Due to the imposition of martial law in Ukraine, a certain category of citizens is temporarily restricted from leaving Ukraine. In particular, it is forbidden for male Ukrainian citizens aged 18 to 60 to leave Ukraine. ” on special military registration, or - the conclusion of the military medical commission on unfitness - on the maintenance of which there are three or more children under 18 years of age, or who independently raise a child (children) under 18 years of age, or whose maintenance is a child with disabilities. Refugees are exempt from PCR tests, vaccination confirmation or quarantine, and can cross the Polish border without a passport. In this case, they will be sent to the nearest border crossing point and will receive temporary documents.

➔ Pets (#77)

Polish officials are now facilitating Ukrainian border crossing for families fleeing with their animals. The whole animal health dossier is now NOT mandatory. Animals will be vaccinated AFTER CROSSING Polish side of the border.

If you are fleeing Russian military aggression against Ukraine, you will be admitted to Poland. - If you do not have a place of residence in Poland, go to the nearest reception center

How can I access medical services?

LUX MED - hotline and reception of refugees by phone 22 45 97 007 or e-mail ua.kontakt@luxmed.pl Centrum Medyczne Damiana launches a package of medical care for residents of Ukraine in various cities in Poland. Psychological care in Ukrainian is available 7 days a week: 22,566 22 27. Medical care at Damyan Medical Center can be used by people who have a Ukrainian identity document (such as a passport) or other document confirming refugee status and crossing the Polish-Ukrainian border after February 24.

How can I get transport?

Citizens of Ukraine can ride free trains of the 2nd class PKP Intercity, economy class TLK and IC on the territory of Poland. The trip is made on the basis of a passport or other document confirming Ukrainian citizenship. Free travel for citizens of Ukraine was also reported by: Every passenger with Ukrainian citizenship will receive a so-called "zero ticket", Koleje Małopolskie - Małopolska Railway - until further notice, citizens of Ukraine can ride free trains and buses operated by Koleje Malopolskie. The trip is based on a passport or other document confirming the citizenship of UkraineKoleje Mazowieckie - Mazowieckie Railway - from February 26 to March 25, 2022 citizens of Ukraine can ride free trains Mazowieckie Railway. Ukrainian citizens' passports or other documents proving Ukrainian citizenship are required, Koleje Śląskie - Silesian Railway - until further notice, Ukrainian citizens can use Koleje Śląskie trains free of charge. The trip is based on a passport or a document confirming the citizenship of Ukraine.
